The view in this area is one of the most breathtaking and magnificent in Malaysia. It is also an ideal site for swimming, snorkelling and wind surfing.
It doesn? matter whether you like to explore caves or not, for Bukit Keluang offers you more than that. For starters, the view in this area promises to take your breath away.

Best of all, the caves at Bukit Keluang is not too difficult for novices who are seeking casual exploration. There are easy walkways to help you along so all you need is a flashlight, good shoes and an adventurous spirit. Of course, exploring without a guide is not advisable.

Its distinctive features are caves, which are easily reached by walkways. Try to conjure up an image of a very peaceful village with beautiful wooden houses, innocent looking children playing games such as hopscotch or marbles, cows grazing in the field, swaying coconut trees, fresh cool breeze and a spectacular curve of white, sandy beach. The Prime Minister thought the monsoon season should be used as an advantage to the state and her people rather than being seen as a hurdle.(Monsoon season last a few months a year in Terengganu mainly between November and January where the fisherman cannot go out fishing due to strong waves.) This idea was then brought forward by the state government where later Dato Wan Hisham became the main organiser under T-Best Event which is a company owned by the state to run the event annually.

The Monsoon Cup 2005 celebrated its inauguration and debut as the 50th official event of the Swedish Match Tour (http://www.swedishmatchtour.com/), and serves as the Malaysian leg for the prestigious international sailing event. Dubbed ‘The Formula One of Sailing’, this professional sailing series was formed in 2000 to unite the world’s best match-race regattas under one banner. The Swedish Match Tour comprises nine events in nine specially selected locations around the world. As the leading professional sailing series in the world, the Tour events are recognized as must-attend regattas on the match-race circuit. The Monsoon Cup 2005 was held at Pulau Duyong, Terengganu, from 29 November to 4 December 2005. The Monsoon Cup for the 2006 now offers the highest prize money in the world (RM1 million) for a match racing event with the sponsorship of Mr Richard Mille of Richard Mille Watches. Richard Mille will also be the official time keeper for the event. The Monsoon Cup 2006 will be held at Pulau Duyong, Terengganu, from the 29 November to 3 December 2006.

VISIT OFFICIAL SITE

Knowing Terengganu - Malaysia

Map of Terengganu

Introduction

Terengganu is one of the Malaysian state which is endowed with a wealth of charming and refreshing natural landscapes. Owing to a state legislation in 1925, about 1,300 sq. km. of tropical jungle in its natural state was designated the Gunung Tahan Game Reserve. In 1939, the three sultans of the above-mentioned states declared the area a national park. It was renamed King George V National Park. Following the nation's independence from the British in 1957, the park was officially given the name it goes by now.

Over the years, although Malaysia has promoted Taman Negara as a popular tourist destination, the goverment has taken careful steps to ensure the conservation of the park's flora and fauna. All developments or upgrading programmes to cater for tourists are carried out only after consultation with environmental experts.

Genting Highlands - Genting Theme Park Fun At The Peak

Lush tropical greenery and cool invigorating are surrounds Genting Highlands, Malaysia's premier holiday and convention destination. However, despite its transformation into an ultra-modern city, KL still retains its old world charm depicted in the majestic buildings of the colonial era, quaint pre-war shophouses and the way business is conducted.

More conspicuous is its 'Garden City' ambience, apparent the moment one lands in the city. At night, the streets adorned with trees and decorative shrubs, as well as the buildings are colourfully lit to give the city a unique dazzle. The Lake Gardens, home to the Hibicus and Orchid Gardens as well as the Bird, Deer and Butterfly Parks, just one of KL's many delights. For a sojourn in antiquity, the National Museum is a must but there are other museums with specific themes as well.

The Sultan Abdul Samad Building

The city is also an excellent hunting ground for shopping buffs. Well-known establishment located along Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and Jalan Ampang as well as The Mall, Central Market and KL's Chinatown tantalise visitors with their sheer variety of products and the lure of attractive prices. These areas also throb with the excitement of nightlife and evening entertainment. In the late 18th Century, the second Sultan of Selangor had a fortress constructed on Melawati Hill to protect the state from intruders.

The hill provided a vantage point to monitor ships in the Straits of Malacca. Even with a strategic hold, the Melawati Fort yielded to the Dutch cannons.

It was again destroyed during the Selangor Civil War, when warring factions fought for tin-rich lands. All that remains of the fort now are its cannons, its original foundation stones and fabled execution block. The landscaped hill offers a panoramic view of the Selangor coastline.

Visitors will be delighted to watch the free-roaming Silverleaf Monkeys in the area. The adults are dark-haired with a tinge of silver, while the young ones are a bright orange. Gentle and adorable, they graciously wait for bread or fruits from visitors, unlike the mischievous Long Tail Macaques.

Other attractions here are a lighthouse, a royal mausoleum and a quaint rest house.

Cruise At Tasik Putrajaya

Officially launched in 30 August 2003 by the then Prime Minister Dato Seri Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad, Cruise Tasik Putrajaya (CTP) is an initiative by Perbadanan Putrajaya, the city’s authority and administrator.
As the cruise service provider in Putrajaya, CTP was set up to tap into the recreational potential of the unique 650 hectare man-made lake and wetlands which spans across the city’s landscape.
